COVID-19 Announcement

We have been actively monitoring the evolving situation with COVID-19 and want to share with you how we at TSC are complying with CDC and OSHA guidelines. Due to the nature of our services we always have implemented the highest level of sanitation with our training equipment and facilities. There are some changes in training procedures that we will be implementing so that safety in the workplace isn’t compromised but neither is health.

TELECONFERENCE AND WEB MEETINGS

We will be extending teleconferences and web meetings to all our clients who wish utilize them.  It has worked well, and in these times, we are suggesting it as the best option for safety meetings for large companies. This can be done several ways and does not require all your employees to be in the same room so the 6ft space recommendation can be adhered to. Please call the office and we can go over any logistical questions you may have.

DOT AND NON DOT DRUG TESTING

We are still conducting all drug and alcohol training. Please call to schedule for the duration of this event.

MEDICAL GRADE AIR PURIFIERS IN OUR FACILITY

We are now using MEDICAL GRADE air purifiers with UV killing capabilities for all classrooms and throughout the office. This is an added level of protection for everyone who enters our office.

SANITATION

While our office already sanitizes our equipment after each use, we are sanitizing other common areas more frequently. Doorknobs, light switches, Sinks, iPad screens, door facings among other commonly touched surfaces are regularly disinfected by CDC approved cleaning solutions.  Antibacterial hand soap as well as hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes and Lysol aerosol are also located throughout the office and are easily accessible. All classrooms are sanitized in between classes. All surfaces wiped down regardless of use.

We also UV sanitize all our classroom writing utensils in between use.

SMALLER CLASSES

Until this virus passes, we will be instituting smaller class sizes for our regularly scheduled classes such as Safeland, PEC 4hr H2S, etc. We will also be waiving our quota fee before performing training. We also offer additional safety meetings with smaller audiences to those who have more than 10 employees. For instance, to those who still wish to have face to face meetings instead of 1 safety meeting with everyone, we can break it into as many as needed.

LIMITING WHO COMES INTO OUR BUILDING

We are also implementing that no one is allowed inside the building who isn’t training or taking a test. We already do this with those drug testing, but it will also apply to the training side as well effective immediately.

CPR TRAINING

Until the virus concerns are over, we will be discontinuing the face to face portion of CPR. We have been given approval on this by BASIC MEDIC FIRST AID. We will resume once this issue is behind us.

FIT TESTING and PFT TESTING

While our masks are sanitized after every use, we are requesting that employees bring their own mask if possible. We understand most do not have their own, but this will help cut down on any unnecessary exposure if they are concerned about it.

Per medical guidelines we have halted Pulmonary Function Testing for the foreseeable future. MEQ data will be used to determine respirator fitness eligibility.

We will be reaching out to some of you soon about upcoming expiring training and welcome the opportunity to answer any questions or concerns you may have. While this is an unprecedented situation please know TSC is taking it seriously. We have taken every precaution to keep both our staff and yours as safe as possible.

Thank you.
